Depression
Depression Is a mental health disorder characterized by persistently low mood, loss of interest in daily activities, helplessness, and hopelessness, mood swings, irritability, loss of appetite, feelings of worthlessness, shame, guilt or inadequacy, loss of energy and anger, and low self-esteem. It is as a result of the combination of social, biological, and psychological foci of distress which causes changes in the brain function and behavior activity.

Anxiety Disorder
This is seen as more than temporary worry or fear. In anxiety disorders, the feeling is not relieved easily and can get worse over time and affects daily activities such as job performance, school work, and relationships.
The symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder include restlessness, irritability, and uneasiness which can be managed with anxiety medications.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
This is a mental health condition that develops following a traumatic event characterized by intrusive thoughts about the incident, recurrent distress/anxiety, flashbacks, and avoidance of similar situations.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
This features a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors (compulsions). These obsessions and compulsions interfere with daily activities and cause significant distress. Attempts to ignore or stop your obsessions increase distress and anxiety, the urge to perform the compulsive acts is to try to ease your stress becomes bothersome if ignored. This leads to more ritualistic behavior. It can be treated with therapy and medications.

Schizoaffective Disorder
This is a mental disorder characterized by abnormal thought processes and unstable mood. If untreated may lead to problems with functioning at work, at school, and in social situations, causing loneliness and trouble holding down a job or attending school. Treatment can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Bipolar Disorder
This is a mental disorder characterized by periods of depression and periods of abnormally elevated mood that each last from days to weeks. It is a mental illness that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration.
